Charged Chamber Gunslingers are masters of cinderarms and, with precise timing and concentration, are able to weave aether into their weapons to give themselves an edge. Each time you reload a cinderarm, roll a D6; on a 5+, gain 1 Tempo and choose one of the following effects to apply to that magazine: Overcharged Rounds: Infuse your ammo/battery with volatile aether. Your next 2[GRIT] attacks with this weapon have a ++1 Damage Bonus. Paracausal Magazine: You borrow ammo from an alternate timeline version of yourself, loading 2[GRIT] additional rounds (up to double the weapon’s capacity). This ammo is returned to that timeline when all loaded ammo is expended or the next time you reload the weapon. Risky Reload: You attempt to hastily (and stylishly) reload your weapon. Refund the Stamina spent to reload the weapon; however, on a 3-, the reload fails and the weapon is jammed. Your precision with this ability increases as you rank up, triggering this aspect on a 4+ at CR4 and a 3+ at CR7. Dodge Roll Action - 1 Stamina Perform a stylish roll, weave, or sidestep, moving 1 space and gaining 1 Tempo. Counts as a Dash. Style Bonus - Evasive: You move in a blur; also gain +2 Evasion Bonus against the next 2 attacks that target you. Daredevil’s Dodge Instead of gaining 1 Tempo, you gain an amount equal to the number of enemies within 5 spaces of you. Gunner’s Dodge Reload your currently equipped weapon. Deadlock Duel Action - 3 Focus Challenge an enemy to a binding duel. Select a target within 10 spaces to enter a Standoff with until the end of your next turn. During the Standoff, you are taunted by each other, you gain a +2 Attack and Damage Bonus against the target, and they gain a +1 Attack and Damage Bonus against you. When either of you is wounded or defeated, the Standoff ends and the other retains the Bonuses until the end of their next turn. Style Bonus - Draw, O Coward: While in a standoff, each time one of you declares an attack against the other, both of you make an Attack and the higher of the two hits (the one not initiating always uses a Basic Attack). Cash Out If the Standoff ends with neither of you wounded or defeated, it is decided by whoever dealt more damage. Never Tell Me The Odds If the target is a Grunt/Elite/Miniboss/Boss, you gain 1/2/3/3 Tempo when entering Standoff. Stylish Bombardier Passive Why wait for an explosive to go off when you can dictate the timer? You may detonate objects with the [BOMB] tag early by hitting them with a ranged attack (DV 5), causing it to explode instantly; if a hostile creature throws a grenade you may make a basic attack as a reaction to detonate it in a space adjacent to them. Volatile Cinders The explosion deals additional damage equal to your GRIT. Wire Snip You can precisely knock out the delicate parts of explosives, disabling them and preventing them from exploding rather than detonating them (DV 10).
