If it wasn’t for the fact my wonderful husband and sister were present and their quick responses and attentitiveness I would have died because the staff ignored my call bell while I was literally choking on my own waste. (Thanks St. Mary’s 😒 don’t go there if you can avoid it) I was then sent by

for 24 hours straight. (10/10 don’t recommend having your bowels and stomach pumped through your nose, so gross) I vomited when they put the ng tube in. I almost choked and aspirated to the point of lowkey losing consciousness from the amount of vomiting when they would turn the pump off on 3 times

due to a “small” bowel obstruction (That’s a little hazy because some genius thought morphine and Ativan would be a great combo 😒) I had an ng tube put in that was supposed to pump my stomach except they kept turning the pump off to “see if it’s improved and get more imaging” after vomiting

I’ve ever been in and this frankly isn’t my first rodeo with a chronic brain condition and the complications that arise from that. I just feel like I need to draw attention to our atrocious healthcare system right now. I was throwing up like exorcism level bodily fluids from like Friday- Sunday(?)

I’ve found that giving myself room for this feeling means planning each assignments 2 days before their due date at the latest. This way if something comes up I’m not panicking idk
