Griffin’s challenges against these voters should never have been brought. Nevertheless, we are relieved that the rule of law has been followed. This is a final judgment in district court, but the judge stayed the ruling pending appeal. The law here is clear and we expect this ruling to prevail.

In his decision, Judge Myers affirmed the right to vote and have one’s vote counted is the bedrock of American democracy. His ruling also sends a clear message that attacks like Judge Jefferson Griffin’s, on lawfully cast ballots— will not stand.
