We spent a night and toured the village of Dancing Rabbit in Missouri several years ago. I am fascinated with the concept of living in a small village surrounded by a sustainable agriculture, like my ancestors did in Ukraine before they moved to America.

I made this trellis out of old barn wood for roses and morning glories to climb. They should be pretty happy doing so! It also gave me a chance to play with geometry.

I finished a biography of John Adams and was reminded of a mind-boggling coincidence in our nation's history. John Adams and Thomas Jefferson, who together signed the declaration of independence, died independently on the same day, July 4th, 1826, on the 50th anniversary of that signing.
