I feel like a Republican would take “Do you enjoy when people are kind to you?” As some defensive gotcha question, cuz obviously the follow up is “why not do that for others?” Which goes against the entire identity. Misery loves company describes the entire parties ideals, and what they vote for.

The thing about California is that low income people COULD afford to buy a house, it’s just that it’s been made illegal to build tiny houses or so insanely costly that a 100k house ends up costing half a million to complete. I want a simple home on a small property, why is it impossible?

I would like society to be more focused on interpersonal relationships than material goods or money. I would like major cities to have dense housing, with a circle of smaller towns connected by bike paths, and public transport. I would like both the cities and the towns to have insane green space.

Of course MAGA wants to destroy society. We formed society to protect the good people from the MAGA people. Once rule of law is gone there’s nothing keeping these “good Christian folks” from becoming the worst people on earth. Which is their goal.

Just found out the coworker that went out of their way to make my day worse was let go. Last week I found out a biopsy was not cancer, and this week I find out we have surgically removed a cancerous person from the work force.

Why make a society? Whatever your answer, that answer relates to reducing suffering. Storing grain for the winter? So people don’t suffer via starvation. Adults raising children? So children don’t suffer? Taking care of the elderly? So people don’t suffer as much in old age. MAGA is the antithesis

I do not believe that Jesus Christ was magical or the son of god, but I do believe that his teachings are something modern christians would benefit from learning about. Has anybody else thought of teaching christians about Jesus? I think they should read the bible.
