For a Cthulhu-esque game I think spell books are still appropriate, and artifacts definitely. I need to shake the urge to better define spells and their costs and just roll with it.

I think people are still wrapping their heads around the implications of the proliferation of them amongst teenagers and younger. I think regulation is inevitable, but right now its a free for all

Honestly, I'm not a fan of Icespire Peak. On its face, it seems like it would work (looks at all the choices!), but the whole job board thing feels forced and very much like a video game approach.

Back during the covid years, technology seemed like the solution to everybody's problem. Now I don't know anyone that prefers to play online. Folks still do it - for a myriad of reasons - but everybody I know craves face 2 face

The section on 'Defending yourself out of the fun' is dead nuts on. Banning counterspell is automatic for me, personally. Great point about how not-fun Shield can be
