He thinks eating at Olive Garden one day and Chili's the next is rotating cuisines.

Pizza is our Poor Asian Economy food. The chains have figured out how to put together a ton of calories extremely efficiently. Unfortunately, it may be even more unhealthy than street food.

Sanewashing. Your personal opinion is make the public aware. A number of other people have the kill them all opinion.

The normie opinion still lands at pro-growth, just with twists and turns to get there. Broadly, they agree with the degrowth talking points, but anything specific and cost-increasing faces opposition. A challenge with democratic institutions is that it's somewhat hard to explain how it lowers costs.

This is my theory of why foreign-born individuals, who swung far to the right, may have been particularly resonant to a message focused on immigration and economic issues.

Are there any feeds like "Discover But Only People You Follow"? Seeing too much violent content pushed to me on the regular feed from people I don't follow.

That's been a conservative argument for years, but this was a progressive falling for the specific claim that Medicare rates mean your anesthesia just stops in the middle of the surgery unless you pay a giant bill.
December 6, 2024 at 2:24 PM
Do you believe Medicare creates a safety hazard? Because paying Medicare rates is exactly what they were going to do.
December 6, 2024 at 2:22 PM
Congratulations, you made a company back away from Medicare-negotiated pricing so that the highest paid profession in America can get paid even more. What a win for the progressive agenda!

Not just the lefties, some of my colleagues *in health insurance* fell for it

Real tough talk, buddy, let's see you back it up.

The same people laughing about this also don't care about that crime. The same people constantly claim it's racist to enforce gun control.

Lots of misinformation on govt-sponsored healthcare. People envision it as a magic fix where anyone can walk into any hospital and receive any service they want. There is some understanding of wait times, etc. but still the expectation that govt covers everything, no questions asked.

I should have known we were fucked when my college-educated immigrant coworker went on a random tirade against trans people out of nowhere.

The general public tends to want it both ways. They sympathize when European doctors say they're underpaid, and also want to pay European prices. Plus the NHS also does care rationing which I genuinely don't think people know, the idea is of a system where you just walk in and get whatever.

Providers get away with so much bullshit that insurers get all the blame for

If enough homes are built to begin with, no owner has power. If "unlimited PE demand" is an issue then simply tax them to turn it into unlimited PE revenue.
