Let’s stop referring to the chemo as “torture.”
We can 100% do a better job of being honest about when it’s not worth trading harsh side effects for a tiny chance of remission, but chemo is very often a necessary part of cure or thoughtful palliative care and it’s scary enough without hyperbole.
