If you're a PC individual, I highly recommend giving it a look! Is it a bit dated in some ways, yes, yes it is. Is it a really good NASCAR experience. Also yes!

Worth checking out @gplaps.bsky.social video on it youtu.be/Lp85pRclI1I?... and ACRacing's site with the game and all. Super good!

Even in NASCAR Racing '99?

How good is NASCAR 25 man, it is great but I sure wish you could apply the ARCA championship settings to the Cup, Busch and Trucks.

I don't believe in miracles but the closest I ever came to seeing one was playing field hockey in uni.
The ball sat up nicely for my teammate who hit the ball so hard that it split in two and went either side of the onrushing player.
That guy got so lucky because that ball got hammered.

It's only on the first shot of the penalty corner, and yeah, it is essentially to prevent players from getting a fractured skulls on the regular.

Defending a penalty corner is mad enough as it is with the ball being rifled at shin height, let alone any higher.

Exactly. Whereas if they'd drag flicked, that'd have been fine or if they took that on a second or third shot, also fine.

I went digging out some examples of cool goals - found this video of some cracking reverse stick goals (which often lift the ball)

It only counts as the first shot of the penalty corner. After that first shot you can hit it however you like at whatever height you want.

Only on a slapshot from a penalty corner.

From a penalty corner they can drag flick (wrist shot type shot) anywhere in the goal, and you can hit it as hard as you like during open play.

On a penalty corner (PC)you can drag flick the ball anywhere in the net (think wrist shot) or slap shot it but it needs to hit the backboard.

It's purely a player safety issue because of the nature of penalty corners with players sprinting out of goal to challenge the offensive players.

It's only a rule for Penalty Corners as seen in the video.

You can drag flick it higher in the net. It's a player safety thing as that ball is rock hard.

Do the stupid mouth thing and win a Bafta or whatever. Pure crap.

But Dazzler, he's so funny with the Paramount lads. Their analysis is so cutting edge, Dan. It's just good banter from the boys.
