Seeing all these masked “federal agents” on horses, clearing out an empty park is the result one of the most brilliant political tactics I’ve seen in years. Starve them of their fascist, authoritarian photo ops and turn them into a joke. This should be repeated often.

Bigger picture: Trump is finding as many ways to break the rules in the constitution as possible. With each constitutionally forbidden crime that he commits without going to prison, the nation gets weaker, the constitution transitions into obsoletion, and Trump gains authoritarian power.
Since I administered the WH emoluments rules, let me explain why this is forbidden

Trump expressed interest in it before it was offered

He is going to use & benefit from it a while in office

And he's going to keep using it after he leaves!

Functionally, it's a gift to him & so it's illegal
Overseeing the presidential gift rules was among my duties as White House Ethics Czar -- so I know how it's supposed to work

The gift of this plane to Trump is illegal & unconstitutional

The AG & the WH Counsel oughtta be ashamed of themselves for allowing it

Call me ageist if you want, but congress should pass an upper limit on the age of presidential/congressional candidates. I’ll propose 75 to get us started. If you’re a (presidential) candidate at 76 you’d be in your 80s for at least part of your term…
"Trump’s recent interviews with Time and The Atlantic revealed a president who is completely incoherent. Sadly, that’s not news. But what stood out is that Trump is consistently confused and disconnected from reality even on issues in his wheelhouse"

Trump's brain is gone
It really should be a bigger story.

But the audience they are delivering these talking points to won’t (and/or doesn’t want to) sort that out . . . So it DOES own the judges for their viewers.
Republicans think this talking point owns the judges but really all it shows is that Trump breaks the law constantly

What could go wrong? Also @alt18f.bsky.social was doing things smartly and carefully (you know, the right way) before Elon wasn’t elected. Maybe hire that team back and let them tackle any of the dev ops projects? You know, the right way.

BREAKING: DOGE is starting to put together a team to migrate the SSA's computer systems entirely off one of its oldest programming languages in a matter of months, potentially putting the integrity of the system—and the benefits on which tens of millions of Americans rely—at risk.
DOGE Plans to Rebuild SSA Codebase In Months, Risking Benefits and System Collapse
Social Security systems contain tens of millions of lines of code written in COBOL, an archaic programming language. Safely rewriting that code would take years—DOGE wants it done in months.

This is what many of them likely voted for, whether they knew it or not.
My husband ran a successful business and used our local rural post office daily. My elderly neighbor’s meds come through the rural post office.

The post office is one of the only places left open in my rural community. Losing it could quite literally kill my town and my neighbors.

Zelenskyy is like FDR and Churchill combined. Knows right from wrong. Builds consensus. Calls out bullshit. Doesn’t compromise his values. Won’t be bullied.

Hey Elon, when we said we wished the government could run more like a business, we meant “a regular business where profitability exists, and people get to keep their jobs if they have good performance reviews,” not “a Musk business where humanity is sacrificed for the benefit of the investors.”

Ralph! Where have you been? This hits deep in the feels.

Or even more fantastical, “John will be LATE for dinner…”
Can you imagine explaining to your wife.... Hey "John won't be home for dinner... he got swallowed by a humpback whale"

Lol without the video there is zero chance that story is believable 🤣 🐋🐋🐋

Elon learned how to SEO 🤣
This is so unsurprising. Did anyone think Elon was doing all of this work just for fun?
This is incredible. The source code for the new DOGE “official US government website” points to X as its primary source of authority. Sharing links to the DOGE site sends users to x dot com.

OR, after four more years of indoctrination, they will have grown in numbers and become even more brainwashed.
I promise you. PROMISE YOU, that in four years nobody among us will ever admit to supporting Trump in mixed company.

And now we see what that BS is really about: 1) control and manipulation (of the press and anyone else who doesn’t drink his cool aid) 2) forced capitulation that looks like mainstream adoption of a bogus agenda point

Here are a couple stats that I find VERY interesting about the 2024 election.
1) 34% of voters said they were independents -- more than the number who identify as Democrats.

2) 44% of independents voted for DJT

8 down 1,452 left to go. One scenario that seems like a possibility is that he f*#%s with so many people that we get a super majority out of the midterms. This is how I will stay hopeful.
