Tech for a job, sketching and History for the joy.
We were lucky enough to have John speak to us yesterday at Friends of Roman Aldborough. Last lecture of the season and an absolute cracker. We are planning a trip to you next year.

Superb museum. Went last month and was blown away by how good it is.

Looking forward to seeing you tonight in Bradford. Thanks for coming.

Sadly can't make this as it clashes with the Aldborough 10 year archeological project update by Martin Millet. Will it be up on You Tube after a while?

If only the bloody Victorians hadn't pulled them down, eh? 😉

It was so good. What a superb project. I so hope similar innovative projects could be run elsewhere.

It was so good. Thanks. And to all those who posed some great questions. Ordered both books. Thank you.

OMG as a member of Nth Yorkshire Ready for Anything we go to the Easingwold centre for our training. Brilliant episode. So many important systems covered. Thank you so much.

An incredible display where this is one item that lights up and really allows appreciation of the dedication.

I feel your pain. If I hear one more time Roman Aldborough was a fort.... I prefer Agent Carter kicked arse for us tho in memory of Queen Cartimandua. 😃

It was found at Aldborough in Nth Yorkshire but is now believed to be a fake. Although it is made with genuine Roman era tesserae. It's now housed in Leeds City Museum. Really lovely genuine Mosaics can be seen at the EH site in Aldborough when it reopens in the spring.

Indeed. But with no teets they are going to be a hungry pair.

It's likely a fake by the Victorian who found it though he did use real tesserae. Or it's a Friday afternoon rush job by stand in workmen. 😃 Always gets a laugh when we take visitors around Roman Aldborough where they see the lovely mosaics on view in the posh end of town.

And I thought Hardnott Roman Fort was remote! This looks amazing.
