I’ve been in business for 35 years. The last tax return was the smallest amount of tax I have paid even lower than my 1st year in business. This govt are economic morons

I spent 18 hours sitting with my elderly mother a couple of weeks ago in ed before she was able to be seen by a cardiologist. It’s the first time I’ve ever experienced such a delay

It’s strange how nobody is questioning the fact that in the terms of reference NZ first are excluded from having to appear. That looks like corruption to me when they had a part in writing the terms of reference

My latest tax return was the lowest since 1990 when I first became self employed. My income dropped by 50% in just over a year.

I’m a boomer, I notice again how my generation are the ones who have benefited most from the gov contributions and how the young ones will lose out. I got free uni and cheap housing, the young ones got stuffed on that too. I hate it

I’ve been self employed now for 35 years. My most recent tax return was the worst taxable income in those 35 years. I’ve had a 60% drop in income in 18 months, mostly due to a large number of companies I work for going bust.

To add insult to injury all legal cost were taken from the settlement numbers and that came to roughly 1/3rd, the actual amount Maori received being 2/3 of the $2.6 billion.
