A bill passed in the house a couple months ago: HR 9495. It strips the non profit status from any charity that is designated by the Sec. of State as a “terrorist supporting organization.”

Broccoli, carrot, and shallot pakoras. I can’t make them as well as our friends at our local Indian restaurant. But it’s fun to learn!

I like to make marshmallows with honey instead of corn syrup. IMO, the darker and more strongly flavored honeys are the best for candy because they add dimension to the sweetness. These are made from carrot honey, which looks like molasses and smells like lying in the grass in summer.

I had an epiphany this morning. We deserve good things now. Not when we’ve lost 20 # , not when we’ve gotten that project done, not when we become a better person who has earned those good things through virtue or self control or whatever.
Now. We deserve joy and fun and love today. All of us.
