This doesn't surprise me at all, sadly. When I worked at a church, I was instructed to tell anyone calling to ask for help that we had "no money left in our benevolence fund." We never had a benevolence fund, and didn't even try, while I was there.

Our co-op door failed last night and a predator massacred 19 of our chicks💔. But this afternoon, life goes on and we had two sweet goslings born ❤️

Only one lonely gosling hatched and it will be at least two weeks until he can go out with the chicks. Until then I guess I get to be his napping buddy ❤️
