I am enjoying knitting these sleeves so much. Words I never thought I would say/type! :D The pattern is the Nightly Sweater, and I highly recommend it.

Just been to a performance of Frankenstein at Newcastle's Castle keep. It was amazing, atmospheric, intense, very intimate with the seating around the room and the actors right in front of you. Very clever staging, costumes, and writing. Beautifully done.

A bumper Halloween issue of Monster Fun is out today with a 2 page Gums story written by me and art by the incredible Brett Parsons @blitzcadet . The best compliment in the world was that my 6 year old laughed out loud at this story and made me read it again immediately. Can a better review exist?

I just dropped the kiddo off at school. Her teachers just told me she had taken some @monsterfuncomic into school on Friday and read them to her class. I've just cried all the way home. My 6 year old is so proud of me. How amazing and overwhelming is that?

I am exceptionally excited this morning! It is new @monsterfuncomic day, and I have TWO strips this month. There's some Super Gums action with the brilliant @blitzcadet and brand new character Uniscorn - the grumpy unicorn with Josè Ruiz and SqakeZz. I am very excited

It's the anniversary of my dad's death today. It's a bugger of a day. But seeing this out n aboot has made me smile,I bloody love that shark!! I also think Brett is a genius so ner.
