I’m an Ontario teacher who loves the Buffalo Bills, nature, politics, history, and geography.
The Thomas Crown affair (the original of Steve McQueen and Faye Dunaway). A perfect movie.

Of course! I had a professor that used to conduct seminars at the Grad Club so we could have a pint while we worked!

These have changed my life as someone who makes my own stock! I have multiple sizes that I use for different purposes. I also just bought the Trudeau brand ones from Costco to try out, and so far so good. Only $59.99 CDN for a set of 5.

Alfie’s, the QP, Clark (Friday PM Rituals)… can’t think of the fourth, what was it?

Hopefully provinces are working hard to capitalize on the interest young women already have in moving to Canada… We need more teachers, nurses, and family doctors, and I’m sure there are significant opportunities in many more fields of employment.

I think your memory might be faulty. I was a “picky eater” in the ‘70s and ‘80s, forced to sit at the dinner table looking at a plate of unpalatable food until bedtime (and all the next day). Neither spankings nor hunger changed my mind, and at 50, I still avoid the foods I refused to eat then.

As a teacher, you might like the book “Orange for the Sunsets”, which takes place in Uganda in during the expulsion. I read it aloud to my Grade 4s and 5s every year, but your students could read it independently.

I’m going to miss my Bills’ season tickets, but same.

This seems like an intentional act by this family to try to provoke a response from the school board so that they can take it to court and try to get anti-discrimination laws changed, similar to about Kristen Waggoner and the ADF do in the States.

One of my favourite Queen’s/Kingston memories was having a few with friends and belting out drinking songs at the Welly! Thanks for sharing.

The fact that Sovereignty won the 151st running of the Derby when Trump is threatening to make us the 51st state has a lovely symmetry to it, doesn’t it?

I’ve only ordered one thing, that I couldn’t find elsewhere. Usually I’d order on a weekly basis. I’m hoping to avoid ordering anything from Amazon while setting up my classroom for September (which will be a challenge, but a worthwhile one).

My childhood tobogganing spot! Being within an easy bike ride of Rouge Beach, Adams Park, and the Rouge Valley made for an amazing, adventurous childhood.

It’s ridiculous. When I’m walking on a public sidewalk, I shouldn’t be hearing a warning that I’m being recorded. I can’t even go for a walk around the block without being surveilled.

I bought some for the first time recently. Very few unpopped kernels, and I love that the bag can be sealed.

I was at Foodland this week, and they had many products wrongly labelled as Canadian. When I alerted staff, they said they had to label shelves as directed by Sobeys. It’s a real shame.

Thanks! I want to discover new accounts to follow, but the constant barrage of wrestling and comic book content was starting to get to me.

How do I find and use this “show less” function? My Discover feed is full stuff that does not match my interest, and that I haven’t interacted with in any way. The problem seems to be getting worse over time. instead of better.
