Amazing day at Cultural Capital Exchange Symposium in Burnley. Inspiring discussions about possibilities for the town in future years, and frank conversations about 'elephants in the room' around safety & funding. Also, Nihal Arthanayake was such an eloquent host and Aitor Throup's show was so ace!!

Another lovely session at Dove Court with The Travelling Art Tent this week. We had one last sunny visit to the seaside with the residents before the cold weather is fully here - decorating colourful seagulls, feeling the cool sand, taking photos on the pier, and writing postcards home!

Great time at Rochdale Borough Culture Network Conference today, here with Cartwheel Arts. There was music, performances, discussions - and some really exciting news announced that Rochdale is going to be the Greater Manchester Town of Culture 2025/6! 🥳Really looking forward to the upcoming months!

It was a real treat visiting Elizabeth Gaskell's House to see the '10 Years' of the museum - where a piece was on display from a project I ran in 2012! The 'Gaskells' Gem Garden' took place on 4th June to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee and each mosaic flower was made by visitors on the day

Had a lovely evening painting watercolour landscapes with 1st Milnrow Scouts. They were such a wonderful group of engaged, creative, and fun young people - and hopefully a little closer to gaining their Art badge!
