I fully expect that the agents of chaos, mayhem, and disinformation will have some effect on the 2026 World Cup being hosted in Canada, Mexico, and the US. I can’t even guess at the form it will take but I’m on alert.

An American president turning the official residence’s lot into a car dealership for one of his wealthy donor was not on my bingo card for 2025; neither was a trade war nor threats of annexation but here we are.

If a leader in some other country did and said the things the US President has said and done in the last 2 weeks, the US would be planning a military intervention with or without its allies to restore democracy.

What authority does the US have to “take over” and “own” a sovereign territory? It’s only been two weeks since the US president’s inauguration and I’m exhausted. Is the plan to upend the world in the first 100 days? Mercy!

As the tariff excitement is upon us, I started to think about what that means for my grocery selection in particular and thankfully, it will have minimal to no effect. I don’t typically consume American foodstuff, unless I’m in the US and can’t avoid it.

I blinked a little, just a little and I nearly missed that apparently now I’m part of a trade war with some people 2 hours from my house. 🤦🏽♀️

It’s that time of year where at least one cheesy movie gets watched per week. Tis the season of small town romance sparked by some version of saving a town established by a big city guy/gal home for the holidays.

The semester is coming to a close and like clockwork, the folks who attended 3 classes all semester are running me down for office hour appointments to discuss what they missed. Nope!
