We are also seeing things change in the attitudes of the younger workers coming into the trades. They aren't the good old boys like it has been for a long time.

Yes, teachers are one thing, I'm an electrician who also holds a BS. I know that I'm not someone who can sit behind a desk, so I put myself through an apprenticeship and now teach younger folks my trade while working along with them. There are also educated folks in construction.

I understand the point you're trying to make. Please, understand that we go through years of on-the-job and classroom training to sit for our test, and have continuing education every 3 years to keep our licenses up to date. We just use our minds in different ways.
