I’m a fiber witch that does knot magic. I might be an American Druid as well! Love all the wild things so I live in a log cabin, in the woods, at the base of a mountain with my biker husband and our batcat.
Morning and night. I knit when the moments present themselves… and they always present themselves. #morningknitting #newhampshireknitter

Morning knitting over coffee. The veil is coming along and I find the quiet of morning the perfect time to add rows of lace. Once it is done and stretched properly diamonds and roses will be amazing. For now, it’s floof. #silkknitting #showmeyourknits #newhampshireknitter

I love doing mitts! Stranded is the best. #showmeyourknits #newhampshireknitter #stabbysticks

My shawl from a while ago. Pattern is a traditional hap knit with fingering yarn from Destination Yarns - Scottish Highlands collection. #showmeyourknits #knitting #knit

I’m knitting floof, more commonly known as lace, to give me peace.

Something a little different. Large sticks! 9mm needles to knit Executioner’s Cape designed by Toni Carr. Scrap yarn (bulky) and a much quicker knit than I’m usually doing! #newhampshireknitters #knittersofinstagram #strandedknitting #knitting #knits

I always have fun with this pattern. Another set of mitts using the Tamto pattern from the book Fair Isle Weekend by Mary Jane Mucklestone. KnitPicks Palette is the yarn #knitting #justknitting #showmeyourknits

Mitt number one done… except the weaving in of the ends. I think the colors came out really well.

Working in a set of fingerless mitts. It’s a barter for eggs with my egg lady! Good trade as far as I’m concerned. #tamto is the pattern and #knitpickspallette is the yarn. #showmeyourknits #knitting #stabbysticks

This sweater is mine, not a project for someone else, and it’s coming along beautifully. It’s a pattern called Ballymoney from Hunt Valley Cashmere. Such a joy to work with 100% cashmere! This is the center back panel. #knitting #stabbysticks

For this weeks #ShowMeYourKnits I present the wedding veil! I’m knitting a lace wedding veil for our daughter. It’s 100% silk and a wonderful piece to work on. I’m done with the center and working on the first of multiple borders. #newhampshireknitters #laceknitting

In honor of show me your knits I offer the following:

A shawl combining wool, alpaca, silk, and mohair. It was a joy to make #showmeyourknits #newhampshireknitter

I just thought I would send this to you. I don’t know if you saw it but wanted to make sure you knew.

I just need to look at knitting. It makes me feel better about things. This is what came off the blocking pads today

A wee bit of lace form my future daughter in law. The pattern is Maria’s Veil knit with silk cobweb on 2.5 mm needles. I’ll be putting in a lifeline before the next section to ensure nothing is lost. #knitting #laceknitting

And the veil continues. Looks like a good piece. I’ve done this five times and now I’m satisfied with the results. On to the borders and English lace that will surround it.

Beginning new ways is never easy and this is a new place for me. But here I am starting a new way of connecting. How better to honor this new start than with a glimpse of the new project on the needles - a wedding veil I’ve restarted five times. Tiny needles and tiny thread
