The country is on fire, seasonal depression is at its apex and I am feeling a whole lot more unseen and unheard than usual. Nothing is really helping me to see the edge/end of it all…so we’ll see how long the mental and emotional stoicism holds out.

Deleted the remainder of my family from my FB: doubt any of them noticed. Basically just cements the certainty that I was really never a part of that family: just a mistake they were always intent of discarding and forgetting. Doesn’t quite sting like I imagined it would. On to better things.

Back on an old BP med and it’s kicking my ass: hoping it gets better over time but right now I’m nodding off at the shop in-between appointments. Got to do a couple of cool tattoos today as we inch towards the new year. Here’s hoping ‘25 won’t be a complete shitshow. 🙄

Pretty decent week at the shop. At the point where I have so many things I wanna tattoo but not the willing flesh to adorn it with. Sometimes I had actual friends (not including co-workers I already tattoo during down times) around here and call up to get in my chair for some gratis ink therapy.

Ah, good day at the shop: finished a challenging appointment that came out better than I’d expected, now rearranging my office and getting set to head home to the puppies. Also: it should NOT be sunny and 70° out a week before Christmas. Yeesh.

Spent the day in Savannah with my girl walking the Squares and introducing our pug Percie to the Savannah populace. Aside from a lackluster lunch (B&D Burgers, do better) it was an awesome outing rife with fair weather and retail therapy. Can’t wait to go back. 😁

It’s always been an interesting litmus test to see how quickly online trolls deign to attack my appearance when losing an argument. In the last 20+ years of having facial tattoos, not one single person has ever had a nasty thing to say about them TO MY FACE…always behind a screen.

The MAGAts are getting tiresome over on TikTok. I’ve never seen a group of people who supposedly get everything they wished for still full of such hate and vitriol. Arguing with them isn’t even remotely satisfying because all they wanna do is wallow in their imagined victory from November.

I swear, the difference between what constituted a, “small,” tattoo back when I first started tattooing and the modern definition…I must have done over a dozen tattoos last week, none of them bigger than a pencil eraser. I don’t mind the money but it sure would be nice to do something decent sized.

It’ll never not be annoying when clients come to me with wholly unrealistic requests and have no intention of listening to my input. You trust me enough to carve out your whim on you and permanently alter your appearance but my opinion is invalid if it runs contrary to your wants? Sounds legit.

Been sick with a sinus infection all week. Took an extra day off from the shop for a four-day stretch to enjoy the holiday and get some much-needed down time. Climbing the walls and eager to get back to the grind and break in my new Critical Torque tattoo machine.
