I genuinely need to study your art fr

I’d probably assume all the focus went towards visuals like the mega evolutions and battle mechanics than anything else! The story ending was… something that’s for sure

I felt like the game would be pretty interesting if the player character was in a supporting role not main even despite being the strongest trainer. Would make the scenes definitely more impactful if that were the case with other characters

Lmao I’m glad I was able to help you get a brief view of the game before purchase. Honestly it’s still a fun game but I definitely don’t think it’s something that would need immediate priority to play just because it’s the latest “hype” at the moment

This is so cute omggg!! 💙

Please excuse how messy and jumbled up this thread is or if there is any errors in punctuations or typos lmao. I’m writing this after having just woken up, It is early morning haha

Maybe I’m asking too much from Pokémon lol. Anyway, I love my silly team. They carried me through the boredom and looked cute doing it. I love my beloved meowstic the silly so much 🌷

Just wish the game gave me more reasons to care beyond “you’re the chosen one!” vibes

Z-A, though? You just keep looping through the same city. No sense of wonder after the midpoint. Battle zones felt like filler. And mega evolutions? Cool visually but they didn’t feel earned. Just handed to anyone. There is no sense of growth for any character. They kinda just TELL you everything

Say what you will about Scarlet/Violet but at least you felt part of a group. That sense of belonging of wildly different dynamics clashing but always felt endearing. Each path had emotional weight, how your allies SHOW their goals and struggles. That final Area Zero journey felt so connecting

Also, the cast constantly glazing the player character… it’s relentless. Character intros are wonderful and got me really excited about them until they got nerfed to one personality trait after defeat to just “omg you’re amazing!” “Did I tell you you’re like…amazing?” It’s jarring and kinda hollow
November 9, 2025 at 9:23 PM
So much tell, not show. Especially when they just randomly exposition dump yo ass out of no where. Like no build up to the lore drops. No sense of wanting to learn more on your own and come to your own conclusions

“I know you got places to be but wanna hear me trauma dump for like 5 mins straight?”

Would’ve been cool if we had actual involvement with the city. Something that made our progress feel earned or personal. Instead, it’s just “Let’s save the city!” because a character told us too. SV was kinda similar but it felt like it was executed much better
November 9, 2025 at 9:23 PM
My biggest gripe: the disconnect between the player and the cast. You’re thrown into the Z-A Royale to “protect Lumiose” but like… why? I’m just some random guy, a stranger with no real sense of purpose or connection to the very city I’m constantly told over and over again to protect and save

Aww thank you so much! I’m glad you enjoy the design! ♥️♥️
