Good evening members. You may have seen the pictures of cuts in the funnels. This is not something to despair over, Queen Mary had all her funnels replaced and most of USS Constitution is not even original. 1/2

and their subordinates stayed below decks during the sinking to keep the electricity and steam running. This powered the pumps for the ship which while failed to prevent the sinking, slowed it down and likely saved lives. Almost the entire engineering and electrical departments were killed,

The resulting investigations led to restructuring of safety at sea protocols and regulations regarding lifeboats and training. Redesigns were also commonplace, specifically with her sister ship Britannic which had a superior watertight system as a result.

Today is April 15th and in 1912 around 2:30 AM the Titanic sank below the waves. Traveling her final 2 ½ miles down to the bottom of the North Atlantic taking 1,500 passengers and crew to their doom with her. Either taking them with her to the bottom or left to perish on the surface.

Okaloosa County recently has had a surge of beach closing due rough weather and high seas. They plan to sink the SSUS in a place the diving community cannot even get to let alone the rest of humanity? You can still go inside a museum ship since it is not underwater and still get income.
