Hi all, I'm Samantha Stillman. I'm the author of the After Life, Age of the Gods: Donn's Chosen series. I'm an avid writer, reader, and crafter. My preference is no pronouns, name only, I'm aro and demi (more leaning towards ace). Do not DM me.
It does.

Better the one needle than the tons of pins that poke me in the legs when I’m quilting.

They are always so indignant.

Well, I also send the leftovers with mom, minus one batch for dad’s lunch, so mom can a) get some as she works, and b) it gets eaten as dad will shove it to the back of the fridge to go bad.

My mom got one of thoes bagel slicers, though I'm weird in that I prefer taking a bagel, pulling it apart and scooping the cream cheese with those pieces. Usually have my own tub of cream cheese for this.

Yeah... Nobody allows me to use a hot glue gun for the same reason, I burn myself every time. Have since 5th grade.

Thanks, that's the idea. The artist is actually the one my dad hired to do the artwork for his game. So, I had already seen the work and work ethic. That made it nice. I know I'll use him again, if he's available, on others.

Being happy with the results is all that matters.

That was the first one and I worked more with the artist, the second time I trusted the artist to use the examples from book 1 to do book 2 and she kind of... Didn't seem to follow certain areas, though I still like it anyway.

No, just is. I eventually get through it, but it just fights me at first. It's weird and I don't get it. I just keep working on it.

Always have to do what works. Since I basically write fantasy and sci-fi style things, art based works for me. Now if only book 4 wasn't being difficult. Even of books I've written that will never be published, the 4th books is always the hardest for me.

I guess it is. The artsts ask me what I picture and I feel the cover needs to set the tone of the book. In book 2, it was kind of more about certain elements that let it kind of spread out more while books 1 and 3 had different tones. I'm only in the early stages of book 4, so no idea for that one.

The funny thing is, books 1 and 2 are from the same artist, book 3 is a different artist because the first one I had was too busy with her current job (she works for Disney now).

This is technically my 5th degree and my first masters. It's a continuation of my CS degree that I finished back in March. I wrote more papers n a CS bachelors than I did in my English bachelors.

And this is why I like Pride Prejudice and Zombies, at least you get some zombie fights during that.

At least it’s not sewing. I’ve poked myself so many times with the pins…

He’s still so cute.

So need to do that. Then again... I have a recipe for white bread from an Amish cookbook I need to try (still never managed to get yeast right).
