The first Outstanding Contribution Awards goes to J.B. Mayo, Jr. of The Univ of Minnesota. Nominators laud Dr. Mayo as a "foundational scholar" who is a beloved mentor and community-builder. His critical research has "transformed our understanding" of LGBTQ+ students’ & teachers’ experiences. 4/5
