I honestly don’t know if my dad remembers this. After Crash he didn’t really play anything after this, and it became “my console.” But I fondly remember the days we were in it together.

One night he made it to the final boss battle, right before my bedtime. After being tucked in I snuck down to watch him beat it, and he didn’t notice me until I cheered when he won.

Some of my fondest memories are of when we first got our PlayStation and I would watch my dad zip through Crash Bandicoot levels like they were nothing, and I’d later play on his file to experience the levels I could never get to on my own.

It’s Halloween, I am far too unsober for that drive

And then I immediately hear the Candy Apple Island joke and I don’t know anymore
