Maybe the real solution wasn't more cops, but better cops. Maybe the fact that so many other countries set much higher standards, both in training and in performance, for their law enforcement is relevant.

Well written piece sir. As Americans, we seem to have been conditioned to harshly judge one another, an ideology that only worsens the problem. There is no safety net to protect low-income individuals, urban or rural.
