The government gave us a choice of leaving the camp or be jailed. No home. No safety. Pride Month passed in silence and fear. My queer sisters are still trapped, praying for hope. Please help us find freedom. Share or donate: gofund.me/891e4f34 🏳️‍🌈

Today has been 24th of June, as queer refugees in Gorom refugee settlement didn’t get a chance to celebrate due to fear. The government of south Sudan chased us out of the camp without any support. #Pride-month #refugees

The condition in these camps are inhumane.Food and water are scarce and medical care is almost nonexistent. Queer women face corrective rape and trans individuals endure brutal violence. Mental health support is unheard of leading many to suicide. We suffer simply for existing. Please don’t turn away

Many of us fled countries where being queer is criminalized, living as our true selves meant imprisonment, torture, or death. We left everything behind, believing we would find protection in refugee camps. But instead, we met more violence and a brutal system that refuses to recognize our humanity.

The suspension of the refugee program has really left so many LGBTIQ people stranded without help or hope for their rights. So many of us have no hopes of leaving this horrible situation that we are going through currently. We really need external support from our community: (

Transgender individuals in refugee camps face life-threatening challenges due to a lack of support, basic needs, and protection. Many are rejected by their own communities, denied access to food, healthcare, and shelter, and left vulnerable to violence and discrimination

The injustices of the police in the camp .., How they arrest queer people and detained for almost a month. Only to ask for money to release them. Life is really hard that we get framed by the law enforcements. We need your help and support please #Queer #Transrights #lgbtiq

HELP A STRUGGLING TRANS WOMAN IN A REFUGEE CAMP :(

How we are treated is topically different from other refugees. There is a lot of discrimination within the refugee support system just because we are queer doesn’t mean that we are supposed to be denied basic rights and needs. Life in the camp is really horrible. We endure every kind of homophobia

Imagine living in a camp, shelterless and starving. The world moves on, but hunger doesn’t wait. The cold ground as your bed, the sky your only roof. How did we really get here? And most importantly should we assume that our own community also forgot us? This world is really so sad #Transcommunity

Imagine being homeless in a refugee camp 😔

I escaped a place where my identity made me a target where being trans meant facing brutal violence, cuts on my skin, and the humiliation of being stripped bare. I ran for my life, hoping for safety, but found more hate in another camp. Even when the world tries to break me I still try to survive :(
