Only thing I'd add is don't be afraid of fucking it up. I trash paintings on the regular. You've got thousands of paintings in you. Nothing is sacred or a masterpiece.

This my personal opinion: no painting is ever finished so if I feel like it communicates in its current form I just move on.

I personally think they both stand as is. I'd just start the next painting and call them done.

Nice work. I like this one a little better because it has a little more contrast and depth (and the birds), but both paintings are nice.
