Needing SNAP benefits (or Food Stamps as we called it growing up) is nothing to be ashamed of.
We were on Food Stamps for a couple of really tough years. That and School Lunch Programs is how we fed our family. How our kids got 3 square meals.

My son was really into the tv show Arrow and, when there was a convention here in Nashville, Stephen Amell was attending, so... as any father would do... I whipped up a little gouache painting of Arrow and we waited in line and got it signed for my son (and Stephen took a picture with my kiddo).
