Didn't seem like that to me. The Linnet flock was very active and travelling from one side of the beach to the other pretty frequently.

Off the coast of Musselburgh, specifically Musselburgh lagoons there are large numbers of eider, Velvet scoter and Common scoter present at the moment. The scoter tend to be further out than the eider. There is also a White-winged and Surf scoter present.
