90) Metroid Prime 4: Beyond

Having been excited for this game since the announcement 8 years ago, I am very happy with the final product. Viewros was really fun to explore and the cast of characters you meet were all enjoyable. I do wish Sol Valley had more to do in it and better enemies to fight.

89) Wake Up Dead Man

I enjoyed this film a lot. Not as much as the first one, but definitely more than the second. The writing, acting, and humor were all very well done.

88) Sword of the Sea

Having played and loved Abzu and Journey, I was very excited when this game was announced. The music and visuals were absolutely gorgeous. I did also like the change up to the gameplay with the surfing/skating aspect.

87) The Hound of the Baskervilles (1959)

Peter Cushing and André Morell are fantastic as Holmes and Watson. It took some adjustments to get used to seeing a younger Christopher Lee, though. As for the story, I enjoyed it a lot. The film did bring in some additions that I felt were odd or unneeded.

86) All Her Fault

Excellent series. Saw the trailer randomly one day and thought it looked interesting. Been a while since I was so captivated by a mystery like this. Sarah Snook, Michael Peña, and Dakota Fanning all gave some outstanding performances.

It's that magical time of year once again.

85) Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment

Not only is this the best Warriors game I have ever played, this game fixed a portion of Tears of the Kingdom's story that I had issues with. I loved the addition of sync strike and found pretty much every character extremely fun to play.

84) Making Waves: The Art of Cinematic Sound

Very good documentary going over the history and evolution of sound throughout filmmaking's life. There were a few movies and creators I would have liked to see get a bit more mention and focus, though that's probably just me being picky.

83) Disney Illusion Island

Been curious about this game, so tried it out while it's on Nintendo Game Trial. The cutscenes, humor, and movement were all really good. Finding out that it is a Metroidvania came as a surprise, though it was enjoyable. Just wish you could at least stun enemies.

82) Bloodborne/The Old Hunters

I started this in 2018 as the first FromSoft Souls game with friends, but never finished it. Decided to return to it and had a great time. However, having played the other games, there were aspects from those that I missed. Also didn't care for the Chalice dungeons.

81) Devil May Cry 5

An excellent return to form for the series. Nero, Dante, and V are all very fun to play, though I do miss the feedback DMC4 gave for when you can use his other combos. As for the story, despite being fairly simple, it was exactly what I wanted for this kind of game.

80) The Woman In Cabin 10

Very good murder mystery. The story was really engaging and had a really solid cast.

79) The Naked Gun

This movie perfectly understood the assignment. It captured the original's humor style very well while also somehow being even dumber in its own unique way.

78) Castlevania: Rondo of Blood

I've wanted to play this game for multiple years. Coupled that with watching the Netflix series and it getting re-released on PS4, finally got my chance. The vibes, art style, and music are all really good, though some of the levels can be pretty annoying.

77) Theatrhythm Final Bar Line

Been playing this since it released, mainly when I finish a mainline game. Didn't realize finishing the namesake series led straight into the credits. Still planning to continue this as I get through more titles before officially calling the game done, though.

76) The Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad!

After watching Police Squad, this was the natural continuation. Despite some jokes feeling like carry overs from the show, I enjoyed this film a lot. I heard the chalk outline joke years ago and still laughed when I saw it.

I don't think I have done this shrine normally since 2017.

75) Alan Wake II: Night Springs

Some of the best work Remedy has produced. Number One Fan gave me some of the best laughs I've had in a while. North Star was fun, though was a bit odd. And Time Breaker is going to stick in my brain for a while.

74) Dragon Quest

With my love of Dragon Ball and RPGs, it was only a matter of time before I started this series in earnest. Suddenly, so many homages make a lot more sense. The world was fun to explore with a lot of charm. My only real complaint is the faux Shakesphere text got a little old fast.

73) Donkey Kong Bananza

Very strong contender for Game of the Year. The amount of love and reverence for the Donkey Kong series is very plain to see. The game is also incredibly fun to play and explore.

72) DmC Devil May Cry

Despite the controversy of the game, I had a great time. The combat was really fun, though slightly bloated by how many buttons and tools you use. I also didn't mind most enemy types. The story is kind of alright, though I haven't been super impressed by any DMC plot anyways.

71) American Graffiti

I knew George Lucas did a movie prior to Star Wars and heard bits of the production in the ILM series. The movie wasn't quite what I expected, though I did still enjoy it. I liked how a lot of the characters just had their own side adventures that sometimes intersected.

70) Alan Wake II - The Lake House

I really enjoyed getting to know more about what the FBC were up to behind the scenes of the base game. It was also nice getting to see more about Estevez.

69) Alan Wake II

Remedy continues to impress me with how far they push games. Saga and Alex were great additions to the story. I also liked how the game delves deeper on aspects and characters from the first game. One of my only real complaints is that the PS5 version is a bit buggy in some places.

68) The Hunt For Red October

Another longstanding movie on my list. Very stacked cast and phenomenal acting across the board. Getting to see a younger Alec Baldwin in a role like this was also enjoyable since him and most other actors I'm used to seeing in things post 2000.
