This is definitely a thing.

The other end of the same room, also packed with the owner's lovely things: a dining area, separated from the longer lounge area by Gothic style wooden paneling. An unexpectedly long and narrow lounge area, with the owner's lovely things, and glowing with sunlight. The chairs are lined up along each of the long walls, Plato's-cave-style.

How to revise your PhD thesis into a monograph?
Revising a Dissertation into a Monograph: The audience has changed, so you will need to adapt the scope accordingly Look at published books in your field as both examples and competition Rethink your content, structure, length, style, and readability if necessary Get rid of excessive quotation/documentation (such as a literature review) Cut all mention of the book’s thesis origins (e.g. in acknowledgements) Reconfigure chapter titles and the book’s overall title Be realistic about the amount of work involved and your timeline Speak out it, whether to editors like us or to other academics / authors (HistoryLab+ and Palgrave Macmillan logo in the bottom right-hand corner)
