The more I‘m listening to Give and Take by Adam Grant the more I fall in love with it.

Found myself as a giver and learn more about myself and how to make use out of it. Super helpful for me as a long time IC in Product Management.

So much this:
Managing deliverables rather than outcomes — trying to chase certainty of the design process, rather than finding certainty through the design process — will always fail to achieve real impact.
Amazon's layoffs are driven by something even stupider than AI
Andy Jassy wants you to think that velocity can make up for lack of strategy. But "build, measure, learn" only works if you're willing to learn.

Just learned that #Anthropic’s #Claude will use user data for training unless you opt out by September 28, 2025.
Wondering if that’s now the new default for AI?

I opted out. You might want to check your privacy settings too!

Anyone in #ProductManagement or #Agile have good articles on writing/using #PRDs today?

Curious about the current state of the practice:
- Do you still use PRDs?
- When was the last time?
- What’s your take?

Open to different contexts and perspectives. #ProductDesign #Lean #AgileProductManagement

Made me smile today. Seems like I‘m in the software industry too long and seen this too often.
Root causes could be different. Tech debt is real.
Even best engineering skills fail if problem-solution fit is not accomplished.
What do you think about that?

Rented a car in Olbia via a 3rd party. Returned it via key drop. Same day, a €115 charge for “new” rear bumper damage. Photos proved it was pre-existing. Seems like a common low-amount scam.
Anyone else experienced this?

I’m still wondering about inflation in Europe or if prices are simply getting more expensive.
For example, I recently bought a panini with tomato, tuna, and some fresh fruits for takeaway, with 100 grams or less. To my surprise, it cost me approximately 12 Euros.
What are your thoughts on this?

Pavel’s blog post is worth reading. It should encourage everyone to consider a more human perspective on AI.

Users hate AI. So tech made it mandatory. Even if you don't use it, it pollutes what you read and how systems make decisions. The computer's hallucinated word is final.

And it needs all of your data to do it.

In the age of no consent, UX exists to normalized complete acquiescence to surveillance:
The AI age is the "age of no consent"
"Inevitability" means design decisions are no longer informed by user needs; now they are unilaterally imposed. The users are the ones being designed.

Ah, I see. It all comes with certain costs. The question is, who will benefit from what? Balance and Karma - live and let live.

What are your thoughts on that?
Would you buy or try the product?

@arnekittler.bsky.social said, “Curation is one of our most powerful tools of resistance.” That line hit home.

If a colleague had the reliability rate of an LLM, they would be fired. If ordinary* software did, it would be uninstalled.

LLMs require the chat format, because chat makes us party to the conversation. We insert the meaning ourselves - and hold it to a different standard. It's the mirror effect.
If a human told you things that were correct 80% of the time but claimed, flat out, with absolute confidence, that they were correct 100% of the time, you would dislike them & never trust a word they say. All I'm really suggesting is for people to treat chatbots with that same distrust & antagonism.

Remembering a design colleague who called it ”Frankenstein“ a lot. It‘s the system you work in.
Product Design = Feature Design. Same for Product Management.

Y'all design tiny parts of a whole that often never forms a whole.
I have never gotten a clear explanation of what "product designer" was supposed to mean, but I had juniors asking me "how do I pivot from UX Design to Product Design" as though that phrase meant something

🗓️ May 27, 2025: Meta starts feeding your Facebook, Instagram & Threads data to AI systems.
Your opt-out is buried in settings (classic dark pattern). Even worse? Your friends who don’t opt out still share data about YOU.
The age of digital naivety is officially over. 🧵
Meta.ai: Collecting Open Profiles from Facebook, Instagram, and More
By May 27, 2025, Meta will begin systematically feeding the public data of billions of Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, and Threads users into their AI systems. Despite the complex opt-out procedures, the effectiveness of these measures remains questionable. Meta assures that only "public data" will be used, but trust in such assurances is at an all-time low. The illusion of European data sovereignty is crumbling. Our data, stored on American servers, is subject to a different legal system and political priorities. In the AI age, data is the new gold, and Meta is poised to exploit this gold mine. The potential for surveillance, manipulation, and discrimination is alarming. The practical reality is that opting out may not matter. The data is already there, and your network continues to generate information about you. Meta's dominance in the AI space is set to grow, raising questions about our digital sovereignty and the need for European alternatives.
