We visited Inveraray Castle 10 years ago. My husband is Scottish and has a distant connection to the Duke of Argyle. We took a boat to “Duke Island” where the Dukes of Argyle are buried, obscured by the island’s forest. It was fascinating and felt very forgotten for such men of power.
