Cats cats cats. Also public health researcher, radical librarian, bicycle rider, knitter, wanna-be artist. Very left. Geese goose. #BanGuns PDX/NCL 🏳️‍🌈
PSA: Anyone going in any sort of inflatable costume for Halloween (adults, teens, tweens), be sure to tell folks that you aren’t X-thing, but a Portland or antifa protestor. Thank you.

The kittens are 5 weeks old! They’re beginning to eat solid food and have begun to use the litter box (tho they spend more time playing in the litter box than using it). We’re going through food, litter, and other supplies so fast. Still seeking donations to get them thru ~10 weeks old. 😻

How about some 4 week old kittens?

Reminds me of feathers I knit.

I used to always (I mean always) have one of those bracelets on the go attached to the knee of my jeans with a safety pin.

What could go wrong with @pbotinfo.bsky.social and their new infrastructure.

Portland is never going to be a leader in cycling again. Look at this utter bullshit they’re doing to NE Broadway. Instead of using parking as a cheap way to buffer the cycle lane, they are keeping cyclists sandwiched between road traffic and the door zone. Safety for whom? It’s unbelievable.

Going through stuff… found an early mp3 player. 16 mb!!! There a headphone jack at the other end.

Pay attention @pbotinfo.bsky.social
Tho I’m not hopeful given urban greenways are allegedly 15 mph while surrounding streets are 20-30 mph, and yet this is the signage they put up

In other news, Arthur turned 5. I gave him a brave new plastic bin bag to live in. He likes to have naps in them ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Charley Tuna is with us too. This is the first time I’ve been awake to see them sleeping on top of me (I don’t think it happens often).

I’m sorry this is TMI, but I had to go get some laxatives for medication induced constipation. These products are IDENTICAL but one says it’s for women. What? Why? At least it wasn’t marked up because it was a women’s version.

Just picked up a stack of Oregon/Portland area hiking and cycling books from someone moving out of state. They also had a bunch of old PBOT cycling maps. This is from a 2016 pocket cycling map. I really hope they don’t still put this seal on things because Portland is NOT a great cycling city.

NYT over here seeing how good people’s math skills are. 1 year of games for $19.99 or $1.49 per month for 12 months.

I did the math in case you aren’t sure which is cheaper.

$1.49 x 12 = $17.88.

Tell me you didn’t involve an information specialist in your systematic review searches without telling me you didn’t involve an information specialist. #MedLibs

I somehow missed this latest T*ump slogan… It makes a lot of sense since it was the catchphrase for prolific pedophile, Jimmy Saville.

I was browsing around Calif. and focused on the overall $$ of the donations so thought it was odd when they say it’s “roughly equal” when it’s clearly not. I realised they meant no. of donors. I see value of both perspectives but easy to see how MY VALUES influenced my interpretation.

You can sometimes find it in bulk where it’s not individually wrapped. I’ve seen it in places like Grocery Outlet.
