I don't know why the writers decided to turn her into an idiot, but they did, just as they turned Anna.
Just the idea that Laura would be ok with any mobster running her town is sick. She should have been all over Anna to run all the mob out of town, including Sonny and Jason.

Also yeah I don’t get Laura the mayor saying we have to choose between two mobsters, do what you can as mayor and try to get rid of them all, a person of the law shouldn’t be picking and choosing which, Also how could she say PC has been so safe under Sonny, were Karen, AJ, and Jagger safe ?. #GH
