Informed by the findings and avenues for further research, in two follow-on studies, we examine (a) how sex, gender role, and race shape public perceptions of the legitimacy of drone strikes, and (b) dehumanization and public support for emerging technologies. 4/4

We found that Americans (a) may interpret location as a proxy for race, (b) w/ racist worldviews are more likely to support drone strikes regardless of skin colour & location, & (c) draw on many considerations in forming their attitudes of support for strikes, which aren't reducible to race. 3/4
