Lol, I keep getting ads from funda.nl on my Insta feed, for millionaires' houses. As if I can afford it! 🥹 Ignored the 2.3 million house ad, so now got an ad for a 7.8 million one, because the algorithm thought the first one wasn't up to my standards? 😭

Watched Met Het Mes Op Tafel yesterday. One of the participants, who worked at the Finance Ministry of Netherlands, couldn't do a very simple middle school level math calculation, and also lost most money and was out!
Very comforting to see the competency of those in charge of the country's budget!

It's fascinating how the Dutch (I'm looking at you Dick Schoof) are tripping over their feet in their rush to call Sifan Hassan a "Nederlander" and then turn right around and whine about how refugees and immigrants are the source of all their country's problems.

Watched Spellbound on Netflix. The songs were meh, and while the storyline progression was not very captivating, I really enjoyed the end/message of the movie - normalizing divorce. But based on the imdb reviews, seems like it traumatized a lot of parents, who'd rather stick their heads in the sand?

Trying to sign up my kids for some sport/music lessons, but most of them are scheduled during regular working hours, because most dutch moms don't work full time. As if I didn't have enough guilt already, over not being a good enough mother to my kids. 🥹

I sometimes think about how amazing it must have felt, being Bill Watterson, and saying no to every request and proposal to expand the Calvin & Hobbes IP to tv, movies, merch, you-name-it. To be in that position, in need of nothing more, and to just say no thanks.
