I’m looking through the table of contents for Anna Karenina, as much of the part I’m currently reading involves a wedding.

Apparently, an upcoming chapter has a title? No other chapter has a title.

DEATH seems somewhat concerning as a chapter name.

#aiart prompt 1072: A brightly lit court: a knight wearing extremely shiny, chrome, plate armor, stands watch with a laser pike; he has shoulder length hair and a handlebar mustache. In mid-century, slightly desaturated technicolor; low depth of field.

“Take my things,’ said Karenin; and somewhat relieved by the news that there was still some hope of her dying, he entered the ante-room.”

Anna Karenina, P4.C17

Things aren’t going especially well in the Karenin household.

Real weird how folk self-censor vulgarity. We f***ing know what words you’re using.

Especially bizarre when folk do the same with brand names. How can anyone decipher Amaz*n. There’s literally nobody at that corp looking for that level of misdirection.

Current version of the Bluesky iOS app on iPad has an annoying bug wrt blocks: the “Account Blocked” toast doesn’t ever go away. It just stays up there, top of the screen, until the app is relaunched.

I hate not having a modern computer. I watched a video of someone playing The Farmer Was Replaced, badly, and now really want to play it. And I don’t even like Python.

“But hardly had he settled down when a moth flew across the table. The lawyer, with a rapidity one could not have expected of him, separated his hands, caught the moth, and resumed his former position.”

Is Karenin’s lawyer named Renfield, by any chance?

Kinda wild that the traitorous 8 caved and yet the news cycle is completely consumed not with their craven capitulation but with the Epstein scandal.

I’d attribute this to some 4-d chess on the dems part if they didn’t have a history of the worst political instincts ever.
