U.S. withdrawal from international climate bodies sidelines scientists when climate impacts are accelerating.

AGU remains engaged at UNFCCC COP, supports U.S. scientists in the next #IPCC assessment, & urges Congress to protect science funding.

Science belongs at the table.

The Trump Administration's plan to dismantle the @ncar-ucar.bsky.social is senseless & dangerous.

It would weaken weather forecasting, climate research, & the science that keeps people safe.

We urge that this plan be abandoned.

Save NCAR from being dismantled today!
The Trump Administration has vowed to dissolve the center that provides critical extreme weather and climate data for our nation.

A bill introduced on Friday would classify National Weather Service employees as critical to public safety, making them harder to fire. It comes after hundreds of agency staffers lost their jobs as part of the Trump administration’s sweeping cuts to the federal workforce.

I’m so proud to work for AGU. I also feel more safe and supported thanks to our president, Brandon Jones.
Scientific progress depends on inclusion.

This #PrideMonth, AGU President Brandon Jones reflects on why building a welcoming and inclusive scientific community is essential for the future of science.

Keeping up the good fight for the federal scientific workforce!
We keep fighting—this is why. In our case against the illegal dismantling of our scientific agencies the judge has issued a preliminary injunction. This massively extends the block against RIFs and reorgs until our case is resolved.
