It's not on your list, but I'd suggest Little Canada. It's a 45,000 square foot miniature Canada, including a theoretical bullet train! It is super well done, right on the subway line, and a perfect way to kill 1-3 hours in the city.

Many school boards are also requiring more insurance than they used to and/or requiring proof of insurance in cases where they didn't before. It's bigger than just PTBO. Are we becoming more litigious?

Worth sending some of the Doug Ford $$ to support @ptbocurrents.bsky.social !

I love that it's pretty neutral language. Not actually saying it was a Nazi salute nor even that it looked like one. Just that people made that comparison.

Trudeau resigns and is immediately handed this unifying (for most of us) issue.

See, the joke doesn't land if you substitute Canada... Too close to the status quo unfortunately

With my short commute, removing the CAI will cost me.

I really miss my old Mazda B2300. Standard transmission, 4 cylinder truck. Fuel efficiency of a car. Only as high as crossover so easy to drive and park. And a 6' bed! The modern version is gigantic in comparison.

Really love this one:

2. Speak at City Hall in support of something good for your community and city

It's important not to take positive change for granted and to counter the NIMBY groups

"Municipal budgets are fiendishly complex. That’s a problem. It discourages citizen engagement and disempowers residents."

And this citizen thanks @ptbocurrents.bsky.social for making the information accessible!

Hopefully council allows this development. It costs pennies to provide utilities and public services at 1400 Monaghan compared to urban sprawl. I'm all for heritage, but not at the cost of large tax increases and environmental degradation.

Not sure it's the type of tool you're looking for, but Civix has a strategy that I really like. It's called "lateral reading" and leverages our ability to find multiple sources in seconds. Built for students but relevant for everyone.

If we want better fashion culture in the US, we have to lower the cost of housing and commercial real estate, support independent craftspeople, build denser neighborhoods, improve walkability, and get rid of overly restrictive zoning laws. Let kook culture thrive.

Anyone else have the Month Python 'what did Rome do for us?' bit in their head after this?

As a careers teacher, I love how much Mr Marron features in your Amazon bio. I also love that you (eventually) proved him wrong!

I had a teacher's college prof really discourage use of 'guys'. Her understanding being that it was a gendered term. Most of the ~22 year old students disagreed. Seems like a example of language adapting over a generation.

I use it in teaching, but less than I would have without that influence.
