I agree but it will require Democratic governors AND Democratic majority state house. Here in NC, we have a great governor but the GOP controls the general assembly and will be more likely to make the current bad gerrymander worse.

I always wonder how our world would be different had he lived. Would civil rights have advanced as they did under LBJ?

Our teacher turned on the tv in our classroom and we watched until school was dismissed early. I remember my parents and everyone else being off work and out of school for several days until after his funeral.
