Fascinating read. A bit dated (I should read it again) but her insights into the possibilities of our past to create the present is truly impressive.

The title which may seen a bit offensive in today's world is a play on Charles Darwin's book The Descent of Man.

FBI investigates crimes against laws on the books meaning laws would have to be passed to give them the kind of reach they are suggesting they will have.

CIA? Not so much law based but it's unclear (to me) who drives the reach they have.

My guess is that reading and comprehension of reading takes place in a totally different place in the brain as listening and comprehension of what you hear.

I wish I could listen to audio books. For me, it takes the act of reading for my brain to track, comprehend and not wander. I also have to read in a quiet room.

I have no issues with an audio podcast, but good ones are structured like a journalistic piece
