I find this really interesting, given for early intervention type social projects appraisal draws really heavily on the productivity impacts of getting people back to work. Possibly another sign of how big the gap between health and social care is!

Tbf forecasting airport rail demand is generally pretty hard - not many examples and very different characteristics to the rest of the network. So easy to pick holes in if you were minded to!

And also tolerance is sometimes enough? One of the great things about living in a big city is the anonymity - I have neighbours who live very different lives to me but it rarely comes up in the supermarket…

As a regular blood donor with massive veins I usually get the trainee plebotomists and they are tbf mostly pretty good. The one who had beautiful technique but forgot all of the paperwork was possibly in the wrong career…

Just to add some clarity on the ‘it was scrapped’ - it didn’t apply at any point in my ten years in the civil service from 2013 onwards. And then they complain that people are trying to get promoted too quickly….

Also feels like a factor that the loudest/most online millennials on this… either don’t have kids or they’re too young for it to be an issue.

I’m not sure you would know they were banned if you were a foreigner dropped in most urban parks, which is one of the main issues with the dangerous dogs act…
