Not related to this story, but I was curious whether @aarongleeman.bsky.social or anyone else noticed that before Saturday’s recognition of the few remaining players from the 1965 Twins team, Erasmo Ramirez walked was the only player I saw approach each player on the field and shake their hands.

It was “Life During Wartime” in the bottom of the ninth when Pauline Hawkins yelled “Go!” from the dugout, ignored “the hand that feeds” signaling bunt, and swung for the fences — because, well, “some days are better than others.”
