I mean, yeah, he would, but making it a lie was honestly the least interesting story choice Rise of Skywalker could have done with it.

Especially in the "from a certain point of view" way it got handled there.

Also, if you can shoot lasers all the time, you never have that awesome moment when you use that other cool thing you never thought about before.

Like the time I used my bug character's "make stuff with spit" ability to make a canoe because we didn't have anything else that worked on the problem.

True, and that weeding out should continue all the way through the primary. Sanders nudged Clinton a bit, and Biden actually quite a lot in who he picked for certain big roles (see: Lina Khan)

More primary turn out shows that you can pick up votes with stuff that's popular.

In law school, I took a class on negotiation and dispute resolution. A whole portion was dedicated to a lawyer's job as storyteller.

The professor put on The Princess Bride, "Nothing I say to you about storytelling will make the point better than this" and then we broke down the pacing and details

There's a song that comes to mind for that occasion. I think it starts with Ding Dong

That exact thing is one of the good choices Nixon, Ford, and HW made.

(But then again, Shirley Temple grew up to be a professional diplomat)

There's a shortage of perfect films in the world, would be a shame to miss this one.
