Vet gave her the all clear for backflips and wall jumps, but the booster shots made her too sleepy.
They aren't worried about the other things I noticed, but I am supposed to keep monitoring things. Hopefully she won't have to go to the vet again until next year. She really hates the trip.

The vet has approved her freedom, with the exception of wand toys. No back flips or wall jumps for this wildchild, yet.

I got almost an hour of lap time tonight! Usually she's only in it for maybe 5 minutes, if that.

I gotta admit, I was a little nervous about her incision yesterday. But I looked at it this evening and it looks fantastic. I am quite pleased with this turn of events. Most of the pictures I have right now are of her incision, but have this crappy, unflattering shot of her cleaning her toes today.

Have a loaf to go w/my whining & stressing. Yes, she has nothing on. Yes, this is partly why can't. No, I can't get anything back on her. I did tell the vet this was the situation & they told me to not feel guilty if I sleep. Zorbium wears off tomorrow. Hopefully she stays disinterested in licking.

This nerd. She loves playing from the tunnel. But she can be a little weird/lazy about it.
I try to change up the toys each play time, but she's quite fond of crinkle toys and feathered ones. There's a feathered crinkle toy on an elastic line that she adores. This snake is only crinkle.

I woke her up to feed her. She got down from the cat tree, sniffed the food, and went back to sleep on the carpet. I pulled a bed from another spot in the house and put it beside her. She got up just enough energy to crawl in and knead it a bit before passing out again. I hope this lasts all night.🤞

Dainty has the vaccine sleepies. She is a monster in the carrier, in spite of my best efforts. But she won over the vet techs easily. She's a run-away cat, not a fighter which makes her easier to handle. She is not pregnant, but we are not certain on whether she is intact.

I noticed she only stayed at the bottom of this cat tree. Discovered that the bits towards the top were too slippery for her. My sister and I brainstormed how to fix it. I put some velcro and sisal down to give her some traction. I have now found her sleeping at the top of the cat tree!

Day 4 - Had a rough night, but we got through it. She had fun hunting from the tunnel today. Found another wand toy she enjoys.
I am also very surprised that I am allowed to pet the belly without repercussions so far.
Tomorrow is my bday, and I am probably going to take meds so I can get some sleep.

Day 4 - Had a rough night, but we got through it. She had fun hunting from the tunnel today. Found another wand toy she enjoys.
I am also very surprised that I am allowed to pet the belly without repercussions so far.

Day 3 - Calmer day overall. Getting the hang of the cat wand and what makes her willing to engage.
She likes spaces with my scent, but would prefer to be there alone. Though she does start talking to me as soon as she realizes I am there.
She has really pretty eyes.

Sometimes my brain gets a little confused when Dainty curls up into a ball to sleep in my lap. Dainty is an orange tabby cat someone spilled black and white ink on, while Hope was pretty much just black and tan. I miss the hell out of that cat, but I see a lot of similar traits in Dainty.

She came back! I got her to the vet and got her checked out. Vet check went well. Can't tell if she's pregnant yet. No chip. Doesn't appear to be spayed. I got her a parasite med. She tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Gonna take her back in a month to check again for pregnancy and if we're good, (con't)

Here's the cat tax, because she was here during the daylight. I went to put something in the garbage bin and there was a little squeak under my car. I went inside to get some mosquito protection and she was not amused when I came back out with it on. She got over it, though.

I wanted a haircut. I went to bed thinking about a haircut. Had a nightmare about Toni Basil's character in Rockula giving me a really bad haircut and then running away from me when I try to confront her about it? Brains are weird.

I use Bsky through a browser and this setting has filtered out posts with words and/or hashtags I don't want to see. I don't know if this is different on the App.
But it's been nice for me because I can block it for a limited time rather than "forever" if I'm just having one of those days.

Possibly. But you can also get gifts to unknown channels unless you turn that setting off. Settings > Security & Privacy > Block Receiving Gifts on Channels You don't Follow.
