I'm not willing to fully commit to neovim, but I've been trying out Zed lately. It does bill itself as an AI editor, but it also has a single option to disable *all* AI functionality. I've got that set, and then it just works nicely, while keeping all the vs code functionality I wanted.

It looks like most of the force goes directly backwards. Kick in a gun usually feels more upwards? The force pushes back into your hand, but your hand can't compress that direction, so it gets redirected into a rotation upwards. This animation lacks the correct ratio of up to back motion.

Also this is what happens when scifi writers all use vocal inputs for their tech. The UX is bad, but its easier to write interaction that way. But now all the fans run tech companies and want to make it real, so we get shitty interfaces that we have to talk slowly at instead of fast, efficient input

I think it's the camera movement smoothing that gives the vibe. Also everything else sorta...smoothly following curves without any weight or emphasis?
