The A100s still had dedicated double precision processors.

I'm fairly certain those were removed, or at least scaled back in the H100s and certainly in the Blackwells.

I use them for DSP where we can usually get away with single and sometimes half precision.

Even then the new chips are so hyper-optimized for AI use cases that things like FFTs still suffer.

Still mostly using A100s because anything newer is same performance or slower for much more $$$.

Eeeeeexcellent, thank you!

Woah, Atomic People NES!

It never occurred to me that there are folks making cool cases like this for old consoles. This could be dangerous....

Do you have any recommendations for shops making good quality cases?

Sorry you have to deal with all those dweebs.

FWIW I'm looking forward to when this pattern is available.
I might end up making one to hang in my office at work since they have been pushing AI trash more and more lately.

I've also heard that "crab" has been quite hot for the past few millenia. Even folks that don't like the style at first come around eventually.

Beautiful! 😍
I love the subtle detail of the faint mountain peak in the distance.

Did you paint the majority of the black background or was it all done with pens?

I love these group photos on the kiln because it always looks like some mad science experiment just broke containment and they are all about to scatter and cause mischief

My little guy rang up a similar bill when he suddenly went into heart failure at only 8yo. I'm grateful we could pay without too much hardship.

My partner and I would joke that we had the most expensive shelter tuxie 😂

Wishing you many more years of health and happiness with Sekhmet ❤️🖤

Very cool!

I hope this isn't a stupid question...
Do you print the whole thing as is?

Or do you kind of slice off all the embellishments and print them individually so you can finish them separately?

I've had this comic by @mrmuto.bsky.social hanging on my refrigerator for at least a decade now 😂

Oh how I wish this was a screenshot from a real game!

Beautiful work!

Oh my, they are so cute!

If I didn't have my little old lady (almost 20yo) who would absolutely end me if she had to deal with kittens again I'd reach out.

Hoping they get adopted quickly 🤞

She continues to disappoint.

At this point I'm honestly unsure if Hogan, a Republican anti-Trumper, would have put up more opposition than her.

I've been keeping an eye on this one.

On the one hand, your description tells me I should buy it right now because I spent a looooot of time with both of those...

On the other hand, maybe I should wait until some of my current projects have wrapped up 😬

I mean, I do wish station wagons or really any hatchback could make a comeback in the US. So much more practical for average folk compared to a modern pickup or SUV.

But we can also make them more efficient. Last time I checked auto tech has advanced somewhat in the past 50ish years...

I love watching their little teeth (or beak?) cleaning the glass!

I too got my snails as hitchhikers on some plants. Once they start multiplying it can get a little out of control, but they keep things pretty tidy! 🐌

My guess is that she has security firms calling her saying something like "We've seen a lot of scary things said about you online. We offer services starting at $$$$..."

Basically ambulance chasers, but without the lawyers.

The octopus sculptures and painting are of course simply gorgeous.

But the way you create beautiful and lifelike coral from such tiny beads just blows me away!

I don't work in games but I am a software dev and yes to all of this. My work is about to force 3 days per week.

I'm excited to see all my teammates from across the world in my office so we can collaborate on innovation. Hell of an airfare bill, but gotta spend money to make money. /s

I agree that an LLM can't adequately replace anyone (other than an executive).

But that doesn't mean those executives won't or aren't already laying off workers because they believe "AI" can actually do anything useful.

So sorry to hear of your loss. He sounds like a distant brother of my grumpy old man, right down to the voice, who passed a few years ago.

It's never easy, but like you I find comfort believing that the ones we've lost earlier are there waiting to show the newcomers around. ❤️
